Prong is one of the bosses added in Revelations Chapter Two, and can be found in the Glacier.

Behavior

Phase 1

  • Prong will spawn in a pit filled with water in the centre of the room, gasping for air. Afterwards, he will wave his flippers towards the player and dive back into the water. This animation may be delayed until a short period after the room is entered.
  • Prong will whistle, which will cause an ice worm to spawn.
  • Prong will poke his right eye with his right flipper and his tusk will glow, causing an icicle to appear above the player. The icicle will fall after a short period, and upon hitting the ground, it will split into shots in the cardinal directions.
  • Prong will surface while balancing an ice hazard on his tusk, which will then fall off.

Phase 2 (starts at under 75% HP)

  • Prong will break 5 segments of the arena, leaving only 3 segments to move on.
  • If an ice worm is on a segment as Prong breaks it, they will be skewered and Prong will eat them. This will heal a small amount of Prong's health, and cause Prong to vomit shots in the player's rough direction.
  • Keeps all attacks from previous phases.

Phase 3 (starts at under 50% HP)

  • Prong will break 1 segment of the arena, leaving only 2 segments to move on.
  • If an ice worm is on the segment as Prong breaks it, they will be skewered and Prong will eat them. This will heal a small amount of Prong's health, and cause Prong to vomit shots in the player's rough direction.
  • Keeps all attacks from previous phases.

Phase 4 (starts at under 25% HP)

  • Prong will break 1 segment of the arena, leaving only 1 segment to move on.
  • If an ice worm is on the segment as Prong breaks it, they will be skewered and Prong will eat them. This will heal a small amount of Prong's health, and cause Prong to vomit shots in the player's rough direction.
  • Keeps all attacks from previous phases.

Champion Version

  • Champion: Prong is a lot girlier looking, being colored pink and having noticable eyelashes.

Phase 1

  • Prong will spawn in one of four pits filled with water in the corners of the room, gasping for air. Afterwards, she will wave her flippers towards the player and dive back into the water. This animation may be delayed until a short period after the room is entered.
  • Prong will whistle, which will cause a Shy Fly to spawn.
  • Prong will poke her right eye with her right flipper and her tusk will glow, causing a bomb ice hazard to appear above the player, which falls shortly. When it explodes, any snow above pits will be destroyed.
  • Prong will surface while balancing an ice hazard on her tusk, which will then fall off.
  • Prong will blow wind at a pit. If the player is caught in the wind, they will be frozen and pushed into the pit. Falling into the pit deals damage.

Phase 2 (starts at under 75% HP)

  • Prong will break 2 segments of the arena, leaving only a line of 3 segments to move on. When she falls, any snow above pits will be destroyed.
  • Keeps most attacks from previous phases.
  • Prong will slowly move while blowing wind at a pit.

Phase 3 (starts at under 50% HP)

  • Prong will break 1 segment of the arena, leaving only a line of 2 segments to move on. When she falls, any snow above pits will be destroyed.
  • Acts the same as phase 2.

Notes

  • Prong and the entire arena will turn to ice at the end of the boss fight.

Trivia

  • Prong is a narwhal.
  • Prong is one of the few enemies to leave a corpse, the others being The Lamb, Chuck, and Catastrophe.
  • Prong's glowing tusk references that in the past narwhal tusks were sold as unicorn horns, a mythical horn thought to have magic powers.
  • Champion Prong is referred to in the files as Prongerina.
  • Despite most female narwhals not having a tusk and those that do generally having smaller tusks, Prongerina and Prong's tusks are the same size.
  • Upon death, Prong's right tooth will crack alongside its tusk. This may be due to the tusk of narwhals being an elongated canine, but in real life it's the left canine.
