Envy

Envy is one of the seven deadly sins and a mini-boss that can be found randomly on any floor. His fight is similar to Fistula in that he splits into smaller versions of himself the more damage he takes. In Revelation floors, however, this attack of his is altered around the corresponding chapter's mechanics.
Glacier Envy
In the Glacier, Envy is themed around Snowballs.
Behaviour
- Floats around the room diagonally, bouncing off of walls and dealing contact damage.
- Upon taking enough damage, he splits into 2 smaller versions of himself, which split into 2 even smaller versions after taking enough damage, too. This repeats until Envy is reduced to his smallest forms, which can not split any further.
- Once Envy is split, each of his smaller forms leave a trail of slippery ice creep.
- Occasionally Envy's smaller forms will pause and charge up a snowball-style dash towards Isaac.
Tomb Envy
In the Tomb, Envy appears mummified and with a more jagged grin.
Behaviour
Envy's division mechanic is altered much more notably than in his Glacier form.
- Once Envy is split, each of his smaller forms orbit around each other, similarly to Ring Flies.
- The orbiting ring of heads will abandon diagonal movement in favour of seeking out the player directly, making Envy a much greater threat in narrow rooms.
Notes
- If Envy is killed in any of the Revelation floors, he will drop Envy's Enmity as a reward.
Trivia
- The music that plays during Envy's battle in Revelation floors is named Ctrl-C.
